We’re building a film studio in public.
Not a newsletter about our films. A real account, written as it happens, of what it actually takes to build something meaningful outside the systems built to produce it for you.
My husband, Josh David Jordan, and I have made films almost entirely outside the traditional system. Our second feature, El Tonto por Cristo, is the first widely embraced English-language Eastern Orthodox narrative feature, made for a fraction of what most people assume it cost. What it took instead was community, ingenuity, and people willing to bet on something before they knew it would work. That gap, between what a thing looks like it cost and what it actually took, is most of what this publication is about.
We’re documenting the whole process here: the financing, the discipline, the failures, the faith and beauty underneath it. Not the polished version. The real one.

gets you the real account as it happens. Not a preview of something better behind a wall.
The Green Room
is a closer seat: discussion as it happens, direct conversation with Josh and Jess, and a film club built to deepen how you see cinema itself, and a voice in the films we make while they’re still being shaped.
If you love film enough to want to watch it made, you’re already one of us.
